Gentianopsis crinita - Fringed Gentian

The fringed gentian are not very common. These were found in Bridgewater township in the meadows under the power lines Sept. 22, 2012 (bud 9/8/2012). We have seen them occasionally in previous years at the same location. They are biennials. They are difficult to spot except when they are blooming.
